Li Yan’s new art toy project is the Mini Mini Kid produced by Aichiaile. Featuring a minimalist form, the seemingly curious child looks upwards, perhaps towards promising possibilities. With weathered, distressed paint applications, Mini Mini Kid has a feel of a ‘found’ toy, produced decades ago. The figure’s focus on subtlety and simplicity is a rare, refreshing approach. While release details have not been announced, a DM to the artist and Aichiaile might be in order since the art toy has been ‘officially launched’.
Mini Mini Kid follows Li Yan’s Mushroom Kid and Space Dog from her fellow 6HL6 studio artist, Han Ning.
