Just in time for Chinese New Year, comes the brand-new Lion Kid art toy from HK-based BigBoysToys. Designed by the brand’s designer, Foon Wong Hiroshi, the new figure features a kid dressed up in a personal Lion Dance outfit. The fun twist is that under the removable Lion head is a cute, energetic kid with a mohawk. With the common Lion Dance theme, the Lion Kid is a sequel of sorts to Wong’s previous SC Braver robot and NC Braver lion figures. Lion Kid’s softer style is also seen in his super-cute Frankenskids figures.
The debut Lion Kid (3.75″) vinyl art toy is set for release shortly from Toystation 88 in Hong Kong for HK$330 ($43). Hopefully BigBoysToys will also release the Lion Kid online, in this colorway or a future one.
