If you missed the fun new Jobichunk B&W release at the recent Xmas signing event in HK, don’t despair. Unbox Industries has held back a small quantity of the new edition of the Jimdreams x OKLuna collaborative art toy for an online release this Saturday (1.4) at 7 AM PST from the Unbox Online Shop at $50/figure. No word yet on an online drop for the tan/flesh alternate edition.
With traditional face paint deco evocative of the Kabuki tradition, the new B&W edition highlights Japanese culture and the Sumo-inspired Jobichunk design more explicitly than the brightly colored OG edition. The seemingly unlikely pairing of Jimdreams’ Chunk character and OKLuna’s Jobi the Moon Fox brings us a whimsical tag team duo.
