French artist MP Gautheron has once again collaborated with Kidrobot on a series of custom Dunnys. The new Divinity Custom Dunny Series—her third and final series with Kidrobot—features 17 Dunny art toys (five 3″, five 5″, five 8″ and two 20″). Inspired by her recent trip to Bali, the artist focused on the divinities represented on temples as well as the local wildlife from aquatic creatures to the monkeys of Ubud. Several of the Dunnys are black-light reactive for an alternate view in the relative darkness.
With each custom Dunny series, Gautheron has extended the pieces beyond her colorful, intricately detailed paint work to explore the possibilities of the 3D medium. Beginning with custom-sculpted animals and skulls in the earlier releases, she has incorporated elaborate, multi-layered tapestries created from custom-cut wood for this latest Divinity series.
