Coté Escrivá debuted his Creepy Monkey resin art toy from Thundermates in the classic red,white and black colorway at ComplexCon back in November. The release marked the skeletal primate’s jump from numerous drawings over the year to full-fledged 3D reality. The monkey is the latest in a long line of the artist’s Creepy figures including Creepy Mouse, Creepy Duck, Creepy Snoop and Creepy Badass.
Now, Escrivá is following the initial edition with the new Creepy Monkey Monochrome Edition (7.8″). Thundermates will release the new edition on Friday (1.10) from their webshop. While the timing and pricing have not been announced, based on previous releases it’s likely that the release will be at 7 AM PST and will be available for $190. Normally, the Thundermates online releases follow a previous release at a convention or exhibition. In this case, it appears that Friday’s online drop is in fact the primary one.
