Andy Warhol Banana Bookends by Kidrobot

The just-released Andy Warhol Banana Bookends from Kidrobot recast the late artist’s iconic imagery as functional art for the home. The deceptively simple art work was featured on The Velvet Underground’s debut album with a hidden surprise, the banana print was a sticker that could be peeled off to reveal the naked fruit underneath.

The 9.5″ resin bookends carry that surprise forward to the shelf with magnetic banana peel covers that can be removed to reveal the pink fruit within. The latest release in the ongoing collaboration between Kidrobot and the Andy Warhol Foundation is available now direct from Kidrobot for $125.
