As part of its DesignerCon (11.22 – 11.24) lineup, Munky King will debut its newest collaboration with painter Yoskay Yamamoto. Seen in an iridescent purple prototype at SDCC 2019, Moonflower features an apparently nascent moon beginning to bloom from within the flower. The sky and the moon are constants in Yamamoto’s work, a broad reference to the possibilities that lie beyond, currently out of reach.
Cast in glossy, bright white soft vinyl, the debut Moonflower mimics a porcelain-style finish. This first edition showcases the sculptural detail, in particular the contrast between the textured leaves and the smooth moon, nestled between. Moonflower will be available at Munky King’s DesignerCon booth [#821].
