Wax Face Toys’ large-format Iggy Pop figures (15.75″) feature the legendary punk rocker in a dynamic pose capturing the infamous moment just before he proceeded to slather peanut butter all over his body at a concert with his band, The Stooges, at the Cincinnati Pop Festival on June 13th, 1970. Produced under license from Thread Shop, a Sony Music Entertainment division, the cold-cast resins feature lifelike details as realized by a London-based team with experience sculpting for Madam Tussauds.
While both the Silver and Black editions have come and gone, Unbox Industries will release the Blue and Red editions of the Iggy Pop figures, which they produced for Wax Face, on Saturday (11.9) at 7 AM PST from the Unbox Industries online shop. Limited to editions of 25, the figures will be available for $250 each.
