Kidrobot continues its line of Dunnys featuring the work of visionary NYC artist Jean-Michel Basquiat with the 8″ Masterpiece Dunny: Pegasus. Based on Pegasus, the artist’s epic, sprawling 7′ x 7′ drawing filled with text and symbols, the new release offers one of Basquiat’s seminal works in a collectible 3D form. The new Masterpiece Dunny incorporates the all-over, dense text and diagrams across most of the Dunny’s form, reserving the the upper portion of the head and ears for the prominent negative space at the top of the original piece.
The Jean-Michael Basquiat 8″ Masterpiece Dunny: Pegasus will be released on Friday (11.1) from select retailers such as myplasticheart, IamRetro and Rotofugi as well as Kidrobot.com (9 AM PDT) for $149.95. The figure is produced under license from Artestar.
