HK artist Benson Wong’s first toy release of 2019 w looks to be the Fear of God (of Wealth) with fashion brand Steppyplu+. Due ‘soon’, his urban take on the Chinese God of Wealth features a made-by-hand stylized sculpt with a clay-like texture. As the name suggests, the new figure flips the script from talisman of good fortune to a cautionary tale of the proper route to riches— ‘You should make money by the right path’. This latest collaboration with Steppyplus follows 2018’s Stepo the Explorer.
