After a packaging reveal at Toy Fair this past February and the Exclusive drop at NYCC two weeks ago, Kidrobot has released Tara McPherson’s Astra and Orbit 8” vinyl set in both standard (white) and KR Exclusive (black) editions. Drawn from her Dreamwell world and card game, the set features the mystical Astra and her companion wolf, Astra.
The standard edition’s design blends off-white, pink and blue for a celestial vibe that one might mistake for GID (darn). Limited to 800 pieces, it’s available for $74.99 from select retailers including rotofugi, myplasticheart and Woot Bear as well as Kidrobot.com
The moodier Kidrobot Exclusive features a bronze-skinned Astra and a jet black Orbit. Interestingly, Astra has a prominent ‘mask’, rendered in red for this edition. In comparison, the mask is extremely subtle in the standard edition as it’s a slightly darker blue than her face. Limited to 200 pieces, the KR Exclusive Astra and Orbit is available for $74.99 only from Kidrobot.com.
