Meet Yana, a girl like none you’ve ever met. The striking resin figure features the character seemingly emerging from a banana. Created by Brooklyn-based Instinct Pump and designed by the toy lab’s co-founder Heath Ma, Yana Banana Sadako (Banana Woman) was inspired by the work of Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama as well as conversations with a friend about how horror films expose internal, submerged fears.
If you’re wondering how you can add Yana to your collection, Instinct Pump is bringing Yana to the West Coast for this year’s DesignerCon (11.16 – 11.18). The yellow edition is also available for pre-order from their site for $80. We’re looking forward to meeting Yana in person.
