For this year’s Halloween release, Andrew Bell is getting his geek on. Meet Zombie Process. While he may look a bit like your garden variety zombie, he’s inspired by something even more nefarious to system administrators and programmers the world over: an app that has quit but hasn’t quite left the building. Check the tagline: ‘How can you Kill -9 what is already dead?’ In case you’re not a Unix head, Kill –9 is the command to force a program to quit and is useless for zombie processes.
Zombie Process is set to wreak digital havoc this Thursday (10.25) at 8 AM EDT from the Deadzebra Shop, complete with hand-dandy phone accessory.
