3A Pushes the 1/6 Envelope with The Last Knight Megatron

Heads up!  3A is now taking pre-orders for their officially-licensed The Last Knight Megatron 1:6 figure. 1:6 is really a toy category all its own, where the mantra is detail, detail and more detail or perhaps, more, more, more! The new TLK Megatron seems to tick all the boxes and then some at 19” tall, a gnarly 70 points of articulation (not a typo), bad ass sculpt, LED eyes and LED Fusion Cannon details and plenty of accessories.

Did we mention that if the Standard Edition ($468)  doesn’t quite measure up for you, there’s a Deluxe Edition ($488) which includes the Brute Shield accessory. There’s also a 50% deposit program for each edition, which lets you pay half now, and half before the armored one ships.  Both editions include world-wide shipping with delivery set for sometime in Q3 2019.   If you’re not a 1:6 convert and this seems a bit over-the-top, it’s all about achieving movie realism – bringing the characters from the screen to your shelf as accurately as possible.

On Deck from Sad Salesman: Symbiosis

The Sad Salesman seems to never rest.  Ideas flow, characters sprout, and toy after toy comes to life.  Next up is Symbiosis.  Due in the fall in vinyl, this one is based on an original sculpture sold at Five Points Fest (2017). Based on the 3D sculpt, the vinyl will bring a revised feel to the figure – the quirky body having morphed into a more uniform, ‘fit’ shape.  Perhaps some of the changes were driven by production needs such as a uniform ‘neck’ for the little one to fit into. One to watch.
