Yes, the rumors are true. Kyle Kirwan’s popular Willo character is about to make the jump from resin to soft, cuddly plush with a little help from friends, collectors, and fans. Kyle has teamed up with Urban Vinyl Daily to make a plush Willo (12”) a reality. After several rounds of intense prototyping, they’ve got the design locked in and now need to raise the funds to hit the ‘go’ button with the factory. We had a chance to check out the proto in person at Five Points Festival. It’s quite nice–good size, soft, and did we mention, adorable. While it might not show up well in the pictures, the curly texture evokes the OG resin’s texture.
That’s where you come in, dear collector! The Willo Plush Kickstarter is up and running with numerous rewards including a pre-order Willo Plush for a fairly modest $30. Or if you want to live it up, you can get the plush, magnet and pin for $45.
