As we posted a few days ago, Mighty Jaxx is collaborating with Sket One to produce his previously in limbo Dripple Artist Series. In order to do justice to the artists’ visions through multiple sculpts and multiple hand variations/poses, Mighty Jaxx and Sket are asking toy collectors to help fund the project over at drippletoy.com (think of it as a private Kickstarter).
First released as a popular medium-sized resin, Dripple is now set to be a hit mini fig platform featuring designs from 17 artists including Sket One, SEEN, Tristan Eaton, Huck Gee, TILT, Mad Toy Design, Devilrobots, kaNO, Luke Chueh, Shane Jessup, Franco, Touma, TADO, Claudia, Tracy Tuberra, Nick Sawyers and Andrew Bell. From the strong lineup to the super deluxe approach with artist specific sculpts and accessories ( such as Sket’s spiked club and Touma’s micro Mao Cat), the Dripple Series is shaping up to be one of the premiere platform drops of 2014.
So far the funding campaign is off to a great start, with nearly $6k of the target $20k raised in the first half-day. If you’d like to support this exciting project, head on over to drippletoy.com to check out the various reward levels including: one random blind-box ($15), a special crowdfunding exclusive GID Dripple ($20), special artist sets ($50 -$60), a full set ($260) and more.
