Seen: Vive La Lolligag at Toy Art Gallery

Bombastic Fantastic celebrated the release of the first toy edition of their signature Lolligag character with the  Vive La Lolligag custom group show at Toy Art Gallery. The star of her own clothing line including an exclusive Target collection, the oh-so-cute Lolligag takes on the guise of Marie Antoinette for her first series of scented art toys.

For the exhibition, a group of artists reinterpreted the toy, mostly relying on paint and minor additions while leaving the toy intact.   A few artists modified the toy extensively, including Ginger Chen who transformed Lolligag into a futuristic vehicle piloted by the included Moot mini-fig and Aimee Kuester who split the toy in half for her venus fly-trap inspired piece.  Double Parlour’s fantasy inspired set featuring Lolligag riding a crazy, original white beast and Tasha Zimich’s cute and cleanly executed Strawberry Swirl were a few of the pieces that demanded attention.

Be sure to hit the jump for our gallery of photos from the opening.  Also, head on over to TAG for the complete show preview including pricing and availability.  The Lolligag figure complete with lollipop and Moot mini-fig is also available for $36 (+ s/h).
