On Monday, Brandt Peters launched a kickstarter campaign to help fund production of his sketchbook project – Muse 1. The soft-cover sketchbook will feature at least 140 pages of black + white sketches, many of which served as the basis for toys and original art. The first of several planned ‘Muse’ series sketchbooks from Circus Posterus, Muse1 offers a chance to experience Brandt’s character universe as he initially envisioned it – from mind to paper. In addition to the sketches, Muse 1 will feature a pin-up gallery of Brandt’s toy designs. Future ‘Muse’ volumes will focus on the work of other Circus Posterus artists.
The numerous Kickstarter reward levels include the sketchbook ($24), a standard package including book, postcard and stickers ($50), giclee print + book package ($90), and several packages with Skelve resins in custom colors ($600 for the 9”). After just one day, Brandt has hit his initial goal of $6500 and is close to his first stretch goal (+ $10,000) which will add 20 pages to the book including ten in color. If you love Brandt’s character designs, you’ll definitely want to back this project and pickup the book.
