We first brought you news on Gary Ham’s Wooper Looper at last year’s SDCC with proto pics of the figure which was sculpted by the talented Chauskoskis. From that first encounter, we’ve been looking forward to the release of the cute and perhaps mischievous creature.
Luckily the toy gods have smiled on Wooper Looper. Part reptile, part amphibian, 100% Hamian, Wooper Looper will be released at SDCC in two editions – the adorable painted version (above) as well as a yet-to-be-seen unpainted pink version – both made in Japan. Look for both at Gary’s booth [#4836] which he is sharing with Scott Tolleson and Julie West. While pricing hasn’t been fully determined, expect these to be in the $45 – $65 range. Our advice: hit the booth early, Wooper Looper is likely to do a quick vanishing act.
