This past Saturday, Justin Pape opened his solo, ‘A Cry for Help, In a World Gone Mad’ at Chubby Boob’s (CBNC) compound at the Brewery Art Complex in LA.  For his first LA exhibition, he presented his personal art  done under his real name as well as work from his  We Kill You (WKY) brand. A mix of watercolor and acrylic pieces, the Justin Pape art seemingly explores man’s enduring struggle for survival and the effect this has on the natural world.

On the WKY side, the show offered two collaborations with CBNC – a tee mixing WKY characters with the Chubby Boob logo and the new ‘Chubbs’ figure.  As you can see in the shots after the jump, Chubbs is a friendly looking, civilized one-eyed sort complete with a removable Chubby Boob Logo headpiece as well as a skateboard accessory which will be familiar to Young Grobold collectors.  Chubbs was offered in both a black/white numbered CBNC edition as well as several hand-painted multi-color one-off customs. The remaining customs will be offered on the WKY store on Thursday (4.4) @ Noon PDT.  In addition to the collabo merch, WKY offered silk-screened wood pieces blending his signature characters with abstract elements as well as branded one-off furniture pieces.
