Last summer we had the pleasure of breaking the news on David Flores’ (x Hellfire) upcoming Deathead figure (Bic Plastics) in a Proto Monday installment. It looks like the large 10” figure, which drew quite a few compliments in unpainted form at SDCC, is almost done.
Flores recently posted these shots of a painted factory test of what we assume is the OG colorway. The paint scheme really makes the sculpt’s details ‘pop’. Painted, the figure is slick and mean, ready to ride with his old-school helmet and goggles. Deathead’s moto pedigree comes in part from Flores’ collaborators on the toy, the Hellfire Canyon Club motorcycle crew which counts Danny Boy O’connor and Billy Morrison as members. Deathead looks to be one of the premiere vinyl drops of 2012.
