Paper + Plastick’s Debut Toy + Giveaway

Vinnie Fiorello is a busy guy.  In addition to being an accomplished musician as part of ‘Less than Jake, he  lso made a name for himself as a toy designer (remember the Monkey Assassin?) under the Wunderlandwar label just as vinyl toys were taking off in the States.  Now he’s created a new endeavor, Paper + Plastick, a multidisciplinary effort focused on music as well as the visual expression of it.

In addition to working on a children’s book featuring one of his true loves, robots, Vinnie’s also created Paper + Plastick’s first resin toy with sculpting and production from none other than Julie B. Limited to 67 pieces, this ominous  figure cleverly incorporates the brand’s logo into its facial features.   It’s  available now  for $60 from the Paper + Plastcik store.  Thanks to Vinnie, we’re also giving away one of the new Paper + Plastick figures!  As is our tradition, we’ll make this nice and painless.  To enter, submit a comment on this post by the deadline of Tuesday, September 6th 2011 @ 8 PM PDT.  The winner will be chosen randomly – that said, wit or creativity or both is definitely appreciated.

  9. As a vinyl collector myself, this piece looks awesome. I would love to own this, to put in my office. I’ve been watching the creation of this toy for a while now. Glad to see it finished.

  10. Paper + Plastik is one of my favorite labels, dedicated to putting out great sounding aesthetically pleasing records with the most creative packaging layouts. Their employee’s are the nicest, hardest working folks in punk rock, and no other label has the respect of some of the greatest, heavy hitting artists in punk.

  11. Damn! I knew Less than Jake was badass and remeber what a great show they put on at the 9:30 club in DC. Now they make toys! Totally want this. Well done!

  12. !!!! This will be perfect with the Symptons and MvsR sets I have! Vinnie, you are awesome.
