Plastic City continues to unveil their initial lineup with the first real look at Tristan Eaton’s first figure for the new company – B-Bot. The new figure brings Thunderdog Studios’ B-Bot iPhone app into the third dimension. Instead of swiping a screen to swap virtual parts in and out to create a character, collectors can create their own B-Bot vinyl figure by mixing and matching 7 modular parts (forehead, face, chin, torso, arms (2x), legs(2x). Per the flier, look for a ‘blank’ (diy?) edition and Mascot Edition.
The key to the build-a-figure concept is variety. The iPhone app offered a wide selection of headgear, faces, clothes and more. Perhaps the Mascot Edition features random assortments of parts to fuel collecting and swapping.
