While I love going to galleries to check out new paintings, I’m always drawn to sculpture, especially character-based pieces, for obvious reasons. About a week ago I posted some shots of Kevin Titzer’s work, and now I’m happy to bring you a preview of Scott Radke’s newest work done for his ‘Burlap’ solo opening this weekend @ Thinkspace in Culver City. The show features whimsical forest creatures (above), birds of prey, anthropomorphic flowers and more, all tied together aesthetically by Radke’s signature facial features and styling. His work while wondrous also offers subdued and dark perspectives.
