Indonesia’s Plastic Culture has been very active recently with numerous toy events, the latest being the just announced Faces of Indonesia, an exhibition (5.27 – 5.29) and custom contest featuring the OMI DIY figure produced by Munky King. Co-presented by Damn! I love Indonesia, customizers and budding artists can enter by customizing an Omi with their interpretation of the theme, ‘Faces of Indonesia’, and then registering at either the Plastic Culture or Other Cuture stores in Indonesia (fee: Rp. 10.000 or ~$1). Prizes will be awarded to top entries including a total of rp. 3.000.000 (~ $300) and additional surprises provided by Munky King.
It’s great to see the love of designer toys growing around the world. While entry is presumably restricted to those living in/near Indonesia, we’re looking forward to seeing all the new Omi customs.
