Color Ink Book’s Rayola mascot will soon be available as a 12” fleece plush envisioned by Travis Lampe and produced by Sweet Meats. The new Rayola plush made its public debut in proto form (shown above) at SDCC a few weeks ago. The final production version will feature silk-screened deco rather than the fabric paint used on the proto and the color will be tweaked to be a pinkish-red rather than the slightly orangish hue seen here.
If all goes according to plan, you’ll be able to pick up this down on his luck plush crayon for the holidays. This looks to be a nice addition to many a plush collection. Travis’s art is spot-on here and the spindly, loose limbs and chunky nose add considerably to the character’s appeal. While the price has not be finalized, it sounds like Rayola will be a strong value.
