The Switcheroo Institute of Lower Learning (love the name) will present its first educational offering with a two-part workshop on mold-making and resin casting taught by Itokin Park who is known for both is whimsical art and his tremendous technical knowledge. Making the trip from Japan to Pasadena for the upcoming release (9.11) of his collaborative Bed Monster resin project with Amanda Visell, Itokin will share his expertise in two-parts. The first workshop (Tuesday, September 7th, 6:30 – 9:30 PM) will focus on making a silicone mold of whatever simple object (1-part mold) students choose while the second (Wednesday, September 8th, 6:30 – 9:30 PM) will feature demolding and resin casting.
Limited to 10 spots, the Itokin Park workshop is available for a $200 fee + $50 in materials. Reservations are now available directly from Switcheroo.
