Seen: Amanda Visell – 20” Zebracorn Signing @ Kidrobot LA

Amanda Visell sketched, signed, chatted, and collected wristwatches for Thursday’s official signing of her new 20” Zebracorn Dunny @ Kidrobot Los Angeles.  The big brother to the original 3” Dunny looks even better in person than it does in photos – the subtle dry brushing effect looks great, not overpowering, just enough to be appreciated as an accent.

Watches ?  Check.  Amanda set the twitterverse a fire with her offer of a special surprise for the first 13 people who brought her a wristwatch.  As collector after collector traded in their watch for a mysterious tube with the Tic Toc symbol on it, Amanda put the watch on, until they covered her entire left forearm and part of her right one.  And what was in the tubes?  The original sketches used for the Tic Toc Apocalypse collector cards.  An even trade – especially for those enterprising collectors who brought in BK watches.

April is a busy month for Amanda.  It started today’s release of both the 20” Zebracorn and the Tic Toc Apocalypse Minis.  Things really gear up with her Primeval Love solo opening on April 9th @ the Natural History Museum in LA.  Finally, the plush Jackalope comes bounding along on April 22nd.
