Jure Gavran’s Urban Criminal Billy first debuted at SDCC 09 and has just been officially released to unsuspecting specialty stores. This tough customer is the 2nd edition of Gavran’s Scapegoats series. In a nutshell, Billy is the personification of the act of scapegoating – shifting blame to unsuspecting and blameless individuals.
The Urban Criminal edition (8”) walks the line between edgy and satirical. From the front Billy cultivates a tough persona clad entirely in blank with bandanna and hand cannon. From the rear though, the yellow “crime scene” stripes on his shorts soften up the mood. As with the OG scapegoat, Urban Criminal Billy ships with a 3” GID Blamee figure which fits into Billy’s transparent stomach. Limited to 250 pcs, this product of society has a suggested retail of $90.
