The Rody Exhibition @ PARCO Shibuya in Japan celebrates the wildly popular and essentially timelesss children’s toy. Hop hop. I had something similar as a kid though I’m guessing it was ‘clone’. The show runs through December 24th and features numerous artist interpretations of the toy including original paintings, sculptures, and toy customs. The variety of work and aesthetics is awesome to see. Never get tired of seeing pop culture reinterpreted within ‘fine art’ traditions.
