Anna Chambers made the drive down from the Bay Area this past Saturday (8.8) for the opening of her Club House solo in the new atrium gallery at Nucleus in Alhambra. She created 17 new plush pieces by hand including a large sad apple, a smart monkey, a pair of jazzerise bears, some turds, an army of Leafy Green folk, and her favorite piece — a large ‘Green Ape’. Anna’s one of the top artists working in plush, so it’s great to have a solo exhibition down here in SoCal. Club House runs through August 24th, so there’s still time to check it out.
