Bwana Spoons continues to wander the globe sharing his rainbow-hued art with collectors as he goes.  On Sunday, Bwana’s WTF Tour landed in Los Angeles at Giant Robot 2 on Sawtelle to be exact.  He brought art, toys, and Tees to tempt fans and collectors as well as his own brand of athletic competition to liven the mood.

The tour doubles as a launch event for his new Welcome to Forest Island art book as well as an advanced release for the new Steven the Bat figure sculpted by Gargamel and produced by Super 7.  For each stop of the WTF Tour, Bwana has released a small number of GID Stevens hand-painted with a different color scheme.  For LA, the new Steven was done up with green and purple spray.  Beyond the book and the new Steven, Bwana also offered original paintings of various sizes, greeting cards, and the essential — WTF Tees.

More than simply a launch event or product fest, the WTF tour is a celebration of art, toys, and well… fun!  No there were no tug of war contests or potato sack races, instead Four Square and Pencil Fighting — Bwana’s games of choice ruled the day.  Watching the heated Four Square matches we got the idea that Bwana has played quite a bit — he mercifully ate a veggie burger in one hand as he took on all comers.

WTF rolls on.  Next stop… SDCC.  Bwana’s bringing a golden pot full of goodness including plenty of customs — more on that in a few hours.
