SF artist Alex Pardee made the trip down to LA for a release party and signing of his Walrus Rider vinyl (ed of 500, $75) @ Munky King this past Saturday evening. Presented by Upper Playground in celebration of their 10th Anniversary and produced by The Loyal Subjects, Walrus Rider stays true to Alex’s wildly imaginative and frenetic art.
Flanked by design documents (line art, proto pics, and more), Alex drew a line of collectors who were well rewarded for their patience with some sick sketches – each different and drool worthy. As an added bonus, collectors were treated to a raffle for an original Pardee painting, Upper Playground exclusive Black Walrus Rider, and a print. A strong release event for a cool art toy.
