When it rains it pours. Juki makes the jump to production vinyl with not one but two figures. In addition to Kamaokojyo (below), One Up has just released the first color editions of Umikozou for 2940 yen each (~ $33) . While the paint app on Kamaokojyo is fairly straightforward, Umikozu on the other hand has a really nice red, pink, purple gradient paint scheme complete with blue eyes. Speaking of the eyes, there are two separate editions of this one, each with different blue eyes — one has ‘pearl’ (opaque) eyes while the other has ‘diamond’ (transparent) eyes.
Umikozou is our favorite Juki piece so far — it’s quirky yet solid as a design. It’s fuel for imagination.
