Double Line (Alan Ng) is best known for his toy design work as part of the now defunct Boredomsqueezer. His new Fool’s Paradise project refers to a special area of the mental hospital specializing in care for patients suffering from the stress and pressures of work. The project’s characters are figments of the overworked patients’ imagination. The new line produced by G999 is about to get under way with the Summer release of the first characters– “Kids” The design is quirky mixing cute elements with unexpected ones such as leg stubble (see below). Overall though it has a carefree spirit.
