Saturday’s Project Vinyl program @ FX 09 in Orlando ended on the main stage with a crowd pleasing combo event – a live painting demo featuring Buff Monster working with top Cosplay model Yaya Han as well as a Q/A panel with Stitch Experiment 626 Project Tour artists – Ron English, kaNO, Peekaboo Monster, and Angry Woebots.
Once things got started, the audience asked quite a few questions about how the artists approached creating their customs, their own personal favorite custom Stitches, and how toys factor into their careers. The panel artists provided some good insight – starting with the questions and expanding to give their own insights on art, toys and collecting.
In under an hour, Buff Monster created a sexy painting on model Yaya Han featuring his signature Squirter characters. Considering the challenging task, the final result was clean, well-done and had alot of dynamic visual appeal.
As you can imagine, the audience quickly started snapping pics of Yaya once the painting was done – following her off the stage, to the Project Vinyl Area and finally to the custom Stitch display area for yet more photo ops. Click through for plenty of pictures.
