For his third stop in a four-day whirlwind signing tour, Jesse Hernandez threw down at Kidrobot LA last Friday for the release of his long-awaited 8” Jaguar Warrior Dunny. As had been the case with his two previous signings, Jesse drew a large line hoping to score the new Dunny. The truly dedicated started dropping into line around 2 PM.
Adding a bit of blind-box excitement, fans tore into their boxes, the foil inside, and then peeked with hope of seeing black – the elusive ‘Panther’ chase (1:12 or so). In about an hour span, we saw 2 blacks opened by excited collectors.
Jesse signed basically non-stop on boxes and his Dunny. Once the Dunny supply ran out (80 total), he sketched for people and customized Munnys – some really nice work on the fly.
With just a bit of good fortune, this Dunny will be the start of a strong year for Jesse – with several other toys in the works.
