Le Merde’s show entitled Bruised, Beaten and Blackened marks his very own solo show with Giant Robot. This is what he has to say about the idea of this upcoming show:
The show title "Bruised, Beaten and Blackened" is all about my characters mixing it up. My world of characters are mostly in 2 camps. The fans of the band ZEU and the fans of the band MISTY FOG. Fan loyalty taken to the deep end. So the show is about these guys working out their thoughts and opinions through the art of taking it outside.
The Blackened part of the title is mostly about my recent love for "Blade Runner" eyes. Can’t stop the darkened eye holes.
For the show Le Merde will have over 30 resin figures each being hand painted. Prices for the customs will all run you less than $200 for your own 1/1 piece. 11 of his sculpts will be used for this show, each with battered and blackened eyes. He will also have different sized paintings for this exhibit. Most will be acrylic on wood panels or spray on canvas with prices ranging under $500. Show takes place at GR2 in Los Angeles starting on Saturday, February 14th. A list of the release order of the characters right after the jump.
