CUPCO unites 100 artists from all around the world to be apart of the United Nations Of CUPCO. These artists worked their magic on a on a felt template of a CUPCO Doll then send back then returns their finished product back to the good folks of CUPCO and finish it off by sewing on the back and stuffing it to get the full effect of this awesome plush platform.
Working with the basic CUPCO doll template each artist offers their own solution to world peace and the advancement of humankind.
the project echoes the egalitarian charter of the united nations. all artists (nations) are given a voice, a means of inputting into the collective form of the united nations of cupco. luke temby makes a call to expressive arms whereby each artist (nation) is given free reign to express their individual voice disparate and completely particular from its fellow members. bound by the articles of a structural template the dolls are created in isolation and come together to grace the walls of damien minton gallery. a meeting of nations in a plethora of colour, texture, and individual interpretation, multi faceted flags of expression.
The artist participating include: APAK, Bwana Spoons, Nakanari, Le Merde, Euan Macleod, Dehara, Furi Furi, Abe Lincoln Jr., Shawnimals, MCA, Jeremyville, Peskimo, Kazmo, Jon Burgerman, Tado, DIego Medina, Scrappers, and a whole lot more.
