Friday night was the opening reception of the Miao & Mousubi Custom Show over in downtown San Diego at Subtext. A hand selected set of 50 artists chosen by both Zakkamono and Subtext and Vinyl Pulse was lucky enough to attend this show. We were witnessed to a lot of familiar names to the custom toy game, and a bunch of new names were found as well. Familiar names like Simone Legno (tokidoki). Touma, Julie West, Brent Nolasco, Ryan Crippen, Brian Flynn, and Mark Nagata were brought to the table. New comer Justin White had on display a piece that had caught our eye entitled “Clyde”. A clever transformation from cat to orangutan, we sure hope to see more from him in the future and more from many of the participants in this show. Pictures of this event after the jump.
