No, you’re not seeing double. In early August we brought you the very first news and look at English doodler extraordinaire Jon Burgerman’s Heroes of Burgertown minis coming from Kidrobot. Today we’re back with more exclusive pics from Jon’s new series including sculpts of Collie, Dinkton and Yimmi Bites (above). As we’re pretty close to the September 25th drop date, Jon’s also included a look at near-final painted versions including side-by-side sculpt and paint photos of Gobbler and Yimmi Bites plus a sweet turnaround photo sequence of a painted Tittymon.
While we love exclusive pics as much as you do, it’s important not to forget the quirky personalities behind the sweet looking characters. To help us get to know the Heroes of Burgertown just a lil’ better Jon has complied a guide for a few of the characters. Check out the character bios and all the pics after the jump. Collie
Collie is pretty smart, and is currently still the reigning champion on the long-running TV series ‘Who’d Like To Be Really Quite Rich?’. The winnings Collie amasses go towards new, thick glasses and relaxing massages at the Grand Global Lobule Massage Parlour. The parlour, owned by Doogal Fingerbuff, is a favourite haunt of quiz show winners across Burgertown.
Yimmi Bites
Young Yimmi Bites is a trainee vampire. He likes comic books and isn’t a big fan of celery. He’s still having trouble mastering his wings, once he accidently flew into an open window of someone’s apartment. He has, however, mastered biting people and takes great relish into turning them into one of his green-skinned, garlic hating, minions.
Tittymon
Tittymon encourages a love-hate relationship amongst most people. She’s so cute lots of people love her, but her massive popularity makes an equal number of people jealously hate her in return. She absolutely revels in the attention she receives and has developed a bit of a diva personality because of it. Rumours persist about alleged drink driving incidents but she maintains that they aren’t true, for one, her feet can even reach the peddles of her many cars.
