Dave Bondi’s Akashi

First shown on Vinyl Pulse back in as an unpainted proto, Dave Bondi’s Akashi was shown in production proto form at SDCC in the DKE Toys booth.  While Dave is best known for his sculpting (conventional and digital) work on other artists’ projects, Akashi a melding of two of pop culture’s most beloved characters is his first original figure.  The project is Dave’s way of exploring the role and power of icons.

Look for Akashi shortly in both full color (250 pcs) and pink (50 pcs) editions.  Both will ship in a box feature a colorful camo pattern created from the toy profile. More pics after the jump.
