Seen: Cameron Tiede’s Analog Punch

DSC_4131_500

Cameron Tiede opened his Analog Punch show @ La Luz De Jesus last night (6.6.08).  Cameron’s fans and the uninitiated were treated to an explosion of colorful characters running the gamut of emotions – whimsical, melancholic, and oh yes downright surly.   Of the numerous paintings, our picks for standout pieces include the huge and frenetic When it Snows in Hell and the dip in the abstract with Spectroscopic Binary.

And then there’s Melvin.  The exclusive La Luz De Jesus GID edition (limited to six pieces) moved quickly and is now sold out.  Hand-painted by Cameron and sculpted by Julie B. (Pretty in Plastic), the GID edition marks Melvin’s debut.  Watch for the standard colorway (red).

Several excellent pieces are still available – check out La Luz’s show page. If you missed the show and are in SoCal, go check it out.  After the jump – a full photo gallery, enjoy.
