Taiwanese designer BanaNa ViruS will drop his first resin toys @ Taipei Toy Festival ’08 (7.10 – 7.13) from his booth (A32). He apparently designs and sculpts each figure himself. The GibbEt family includes three figure variations + 2 platform concepts. There’s the original GibbEt , a GibbEt crossover with Water, and a GibbEt x Bunny crossover with Way. He’s clearly an MCA fan with the original design being somewhat of a homage to the evil aple. Love the idea of allowing crossover artists to change up the basic sculpt as opposed to just putting their graphics on the existing shape. The hand-painted GibbEt’s
The platform GibbEts are the Bunny and Moo-Cow. Several artist customs will be on display @ TFF and then they will be shown on an exhibition tour. Each of the GibbEt figures stands between 6 and 7" tall. Props to Nakanari for introducing BanaNa ViruS to us. While most of us follow the big established asian names, there are alot of people creating toys with relatively little exposure stateside. That’s one of the reasons we enjoy TTF.
