Inspired by the dark art of voodoo, T9G and Tiger Jet Michiko (Vinyl Junkies) have collaborated on the new Vatundoo figure. Designed and sculpted by T9G for Vinyl Junkies, Vatundoo will drop for 7350 yen (~ $74) as part of the T9G Muse-um solo show opening on May 3rd at Medicom’s Project 1/6 in Japan. Vatundoo is part of TJM’s Worldwide Artist from Beyond the Horizon Series. In addition to Vatundoo, a special Red n’ Gold Rangeas will drop on May 10th during the solo show (ending on May 17th).
These suitably dark and creepy atmospheric pics make the gold Vatundoo appear considerably more frightening than he is in well-lit areas. Under normal lighting, he’s rather cute, with a twisted horn in the center of his head, a goofy smile and T9G’s trademark doll eyes. It appears that the first release will actually be black rather than gold (as is tradition for many Japanese toy companies). Click through for plenty of pics.
