Touma’s going old school by tackling the legendary Ultraman characters with a new gashapon (capsule toys) figure series from Bandai. There are 14 figures total across four different sculpts including of course Ultraman. Thanks to Ken from One Up for these nice scanned pics. Ultraman himself has Touma’s signature big hands and a protruding ‘lip’. The four monsters show their Touma DNA more from the big ‘knuckle’ hands and the teeth to the last creature whose body seems like a morphed version of the newer Knuckle Bear sculpt.
These are due out in March of ’08 for a retail price of 300 yen. One Up is taking reservations for the entire set for 4200 yen. Btw, if you haven’t checked out One Up lately — now would be a great time. They’ve recently completely overhauled their site. Really Nice. And if you don’t know One Up — you should, they’ve got the goods on indie Japanese designer toys.
