UNKL’s collaborative MakPo project with Kow Yokoyama is in the home stretch and is on schedule for April ’08 but not at NYCC as UNKL has decided to skip the show in NY. Over two years in the making, this is set to be a premium project fusing Kow’s Machinen Krieger universe with UNKL’s signature design aesthetic. UNKL’s pulling out all the stops — MakPo’s cockpit opens with a slow gradual action and features a soft interior housing a mini HazMaPo pilot. Plus — the mech’s arms are heavily articulated to wield the weapons and accessories. There are two editions planned. You’re looking at the green colorway (400 pieces) due in April. There’s also a special orange edition (100 pieces) which will drop at SDCC ’08.
