Moody Idols Opening Reception (11.9.07)

Ted Stilson’s self-financed Moody project is fueled by his incredible passion for designer toys and underground art.  Half-demon and half-cow, Moody was created as a DIY toy — a canvas for artists to explore and make their own.  His dream is a reality with the release of the Moody DIY vinyl from Bovinyl.

To further his goal of showcasing emerging artists, Ted has curated the Moody Idols: Urban Vinyl Movement show currently running at the Helen Christou Gallery at the University of Lethbridge.  The opening reception goes down this Friday, November 9th from 4 to 6 PM.  Moody Idols features hand-customized Moodys from some a strong mix of artists.  In prepping this preview, we ran into the unusual problem of trying to choose which to show — so many good pieces here. Here are some of our favorites by Bill BetsOvic, Bunka, Cameron Tiede, Marka27, Nick Louma and PhuEk.   See more custom Moodys on the Bovinyl Blog.  The show runs through January 11th, 2008.
