Van Arno and Inky Dreadfuls @ Corey Helford (06.30.07)

Corey Helford Gallery is playing host to a solo exhibition of new works by Los Angeles artist Van Arno.

Sweet Home Valhalla is his first solo show that features a series of oil paintings combining  World War One elements and mythology. Drawing from his obsession with history, Arno manages to
integrate a mixture of cultural allusion with historical icons,
creating extraordinary works telling stories of the bizarre.

In the upstairs loft, guest artist  Inky Dreadfuls (Michael Mararian)
will present Little Unfortunates. An installation of twenty pen and ink
drawings illustrates everyday the lost of childhood virtue in this
modern chaotic times of ours. Both shows will open on June 30, 2007
from 7-10PM
and run  through July 28th, 2007.
