Battlecry – Joe Ledbetter
Joe Ledbetter’s upcoming Superstitious solo show @ M Modern (Palm Springs, CA) explores the realm of mythology, legend, and fantasy. His 25 new paintings cover themes and creatures transcending space and time, from Ancient Greek mythology to Japanese Kaiju. The show is a synthesis of his mild Harryhausen obsession, and love for cryptozoology, Joseph Campbell, the paranormal, urban legends, Dungeons & Dragons, and the world’s greatest hoaxes.
The theme of the show should highlight Joe’s signature style beyond his very popular iconic characters. Superstitious opens on Saturday September 30th from 7 to 11 PM @ M Modern in downtown Palm Springs. Be sure to check out the new work and maybe make a weekend out of it.
